A:Yellow straw with lot's of NE haze (or fog). Foam head was white, and a big bubbly soft foam. It is a visually enticing beer.
S: First smell is banana & clove, but then the overlying scent is fruit...tropical, or citrus, a huge mixture of fruity flavors. Not bold or over powering, but mildly pleasant.
T: First are typical saison flavors but spice is somewhat muted. Mixed of banana and others tropical fruits. Light clove in the background. Not bitter in any way. Very nice body. Ends more dry than sweet in a very proper manner.
O: Super original. It starts like a very good saison, but then is over run by NE juiciness. Nelson hops could have amped up the spiciness, but thankfully did not . So much going on in this beer, but muted...citrus, pepper, malt, and more. Closes with a correct amount of fruit, and then a satisfyingly citrus and dry finish. I definitely am intrigued by my first brew from this hyped brewery.
