Pours clear with an inch plus of white, creamy foam. Good retention, causing the foam to thicken as it recedes. Lacing leaves a line of waves where the beer once reached.
Aroma reminds me of an IPA from five or more years ago. A mix of caramel from the malts, while the hops push citrus and pine. Almost pithy. Possibly dank fits as well.
Taste follows the nose quite a bit. Caramel sweetness up front. The middle transitions to citrus, grapefruit and pine hops. The finish is an orchestrated malt and hop mix. Dank hops linger in the end with a medium bitterness.
Medium body held up by a medium to high carbonation. Dries. The bitterness does build over time.
A solid offering. Nothing sets it apart from other beers. I think the hops could have been turned up a notch or three to give it more hop aroma and flavor. Enjoy!
