  • Poured cloudy with some floaties. Had a finger of off-white foam. Below average retention. Average retention.

Aroma definitely has alcohol. Big oakiness, some vanilla, and sweetness like molasses. Big on the sniffer.

Taste starts off smooth, changes to molasses sweetness with some oak. The finish is outstanding: blast of vanilla and alcohol. Feel the burn on the way down.

Good amount of carbonation and heavy body with an alcohol burn that is pleasant.

A sipper to the end and a great sipper at that. I like the big oak and vanilla flavors. Have this beer early in the night and at the right temperature so that you can fully realize the complexity. Enjoy!
