  • Pours a clear rich golden amber color with a finger width white head. Good retention on the head. Good amout of lacing.

Aroma is mild. I am getting mostly malt and a bit of grain.

Taste is simple and straight forward. Grainy with a hint of malts. Mildly sweet. A dry semi bitter earth hop finish.

Lighter body with medium carbonation. Watery on the palate.

Overall an enjoyable beer. Fairly simple and straight forward. Goes down easy, but nothing that makes it really stand out. Just a simple solid beer.

  • Poured clear with a single finger of white foam. Fart in the wind type of retention and no lacing.

Aroma big on toasty and grain malt. Pleasant combination where neither takes over but work together. No hops but overall typical lager aroma.

Big grain malt on the taste as the malt backbone slaps you in the face. Toasted malt takes a back seat and no sweet malt at all. Some slight hop bitterness with a grain after taste. Nothing spectacular.

Light body and carbonation. Very dry finish but crisp.

One of the few beers I have had from Bell's that I haven't thought was outstanding. A run of the mill Oktoberfest beers as there are better and worse out there. Enjoy!
