Picked up off of Tavour. Batch #9 bottled in May 2026. Pour clear. Raspberry in color - blood red. Several fingers of pink foam cover sporting tightly packed small bubbles. Retention is typical for the style. Surprisingly the foam is a bit creamy as it recedes, prior to disembarking from the glass besides the light outer glass ring. Aroma is acidic with sweet berry. Cherry tart with hints of cinnamon, clove or other pie type spice. Surprisingly but not off putting. Most of the aroma carries into the taste. The cherry tartness lingers deep into the finish. Dries. That cooking spice aroma shows in the flavor as well: cinnamon and clove, possibly more. Light lemon tart/sour. Very light body. Champaign type carbonation that quickly fades on the tongue, leaving a gift of cherry tart. Very dry. The aroma is top shelf as I didn't mind the spice presence. The issue is that is carries into the taste, muddling the nuances of the fruit. Distracting. Removing that aspect would make this beer an all-star. I don't think I would have it again. Enjoy!
