  • Quickie: First cousin to SA Winter Lager, but fuller and more robust. Nice molasses aroma. Again, a very derinkable winter brew. Big taste without being over the top. Could drink a few in a single setting, but well within the holiday brew style.

  • Poured clear with an inch, sticky, tan foam. Retention was below average while the lacing was blotchy throughout.

Aroma of roasted and molasses that adds a lot of sweetness. Spices are pleasant and well balanced: ginger and cinnamon. Dark fruits make a subtle appearance.

Taste is molasses sweet with a well balanced spice similar to the aroma. Dark fruit are near the end with it lingering to the after taste.

Medium body and carbonation that go well with the beer.

This is very drinkable and full of aroma and taste for the senses. A good beer to have while watching a movie during the short cold days of old man winter. Enjoy!
