Poured cloudy with a big, fluffy, white foam. Great retention with some sticky lacing.
Aroma sweet with lots of floral and fruit. I imagine the floral and fruit are derived from the hops. The overall is light on aroma and definitely not a west coast APA.
Taste is, ummm, strange. Sweet is quickly lived. There is some bready malt and citrus hop presence. The fruit from the aroma seems to be absent or, at best, minor. The balance seems to be out of whack.
Medium carbonation at best with a light body.
Could this beer be old? Not getting out of this beer what I have read from others. Another, possibly fresher, example might change my mind. At this point, this is the only way I would have another. Enjoy!
1st Taste: Nothing wrong, slightly under taste level I'd expect.
Overall: OK beer, not offensive in any way. Just thought it would have more personality. Nicely carbonated, a smidegon more of malt, citrusy hoppiness. Looking at other reviews, wondering if we got an "old" bottle. Again, my rub about Short's is low info...a little bottle dating goes a long way for consumer confidence.
