Aroma: Very mellow, but large citrus fruit and malty sweetness.
1st Taste: Sweet fruit, alcohol snap, and hop bitterness.
Overall: Big and sophisticated, not for lightweights. This beer hits you with a deep stab of alcohol fire and the slap of a hop bite...but in a very good way. Sorry to be sexist, this is a drinking man's beer. But, there's a nice blend of malts and hop citrus to make the ride sonething to look forward to. The Cali Craft Brewers do rock.

Pours a tad cloudy with a small amount of white foam. Needless to say little foam = little retention. Surprisingly there is some blotchy lacing throughout.
Aroma is full of fruit, citrus, and malt. A very interesting and good aroma.
Taste has some sweet malt. The rest centers on the hops: citrus, grapefruit, and large bitterness in the aftertaste.
Viscous and full body with medium or better carbonation. Slight alcohol heat on the way down.
A good IIPA that has a bit too much bitterness for me but otherwise a good taste and aroma. Crisp and full. Enjoy!
