  • Pours clear with about two inches of off-white foam. Retention and lacing are okay but nothing fantastic.

Aroma pine hops but there is some fruit hops (orange) and resinous scents. Caramel is the big backbone of this guy.

Taste is good but different than expected. Boozy with lots of caramel with brown sugar maybe even dark fruits. Hop profile isn't easy to make out but is just bitter in the finish.

A medium body with very good carbonation.

The taste was a little different than expected but nonetheless still a quality beer just not as well balanced that I would like in a high quality hoppy beer. Enjoy!

  • Aroma/Look: Caramel malt with fruit notes and piney undertones. Normal foamy head, slightly amber that took awhile to disapate.

1st Taste: Perfect match of taste to scent, followed by an alcohol heat. Interesting malt tastes of burnt brown sugar and molasses with apricots and raisins in the background. Then finally some piney hop bitterness.

Overall: Unique and full flavor. It's got a personality that all it's own. While, it's a big brew not too overwhemling nor too thick. The malt sweetness could be a tad more muted, but not sure of the age of our bottle as received on a trade. I'd definately have again, and would like to try other offerings front the brewery.
