  • Aroma- Cascade and a sweet malt background.
Look- Hazy gold, with thin lace, slightest cling to glass.
Taste- Forward, but not over powering cascade with a clean bitterness- no bite in the end.
    Drinkability- Love it.

So here's the subjective nature of beer. Back before Ale bottled I would try to get to this place as often as I could because my friend lives near by and it was my only opportunity to drink this beer. It was one of the first great hoppy beers I found and loved, and I still love it- because there are fond memories tied to it. It might be another hoppy pale ale to others, but so many times are linked to drinking this at Ale or taking a growler back home. I love this beer.

  • Poured three fingers of fluffy, white foam into my favorite mason jar mug. Good retention with average clumpy lacing (not nice webbing).

Hops is the main portion of the aroma. Citrus hops at that. Not a hop monster like the name might imply. There seems to be some sweet caramel malt in there too.

The taste is just flat out delicious. Starts out with the sweet malt, followed by some citrus, finishing with some orange peel, hop bitterness, slowly ending a little dry.

Not much carbonation but a medium mouth feel. This is a very drinkable beer and definitely a session beer on warm, humid summer nights.

The hops adds another dimension to the APA: not too much, not too bitter, seemingly perfectly balanced as there is little if any bitter after taste. They did a really nice job. Enjoy!
