  • A: Very clear coppery amber. Fairly thick fluffy off-white foam, of average retention.

S: Citrus and pine hops and some biscuity malt.

T: A surprisingly soft touch, on the DIPA scale. Toffee semi-sweet, grapefruity from the hops, probably floral notes, and the hop bit is a bit mellow. Not very thick, and finishes dry. Carbonation in check.

D: Overall, a very socially exceptable DIPA. The citrus and pine are out front, but not offensive. It's a very clean and fresh taste, while still experiencing this big style. Not out to bruise your buds, so it makes a great intro or mid-level take on this kind of brew. Plus, the flavor profile is attractive and well balanced. Bravo to a great small brewer.

  • Poured clear with a big, fluffy, off-white foam. Some really good retention with fair amount of lacing.

Some big sweetness and big hop aromas. There is some grain and bread malt scents as well as pine and grapefruit hop aromas.

Taste of a sweet malt to start, followed by hops, finishing with more hops and a nice creaminess. Mild bitterness in the aftertaste. Well balanced.

Low (very little) carbonation and medium body are a good combination for a well balanced beer.

Easy and very drinkable for an imperial IPA. Ridiculously so. Beer was a pure pleasure to drink. Enjoy!
