  • Poured from a can purchased at the brewery two days earlier.

    Pours cloudy with half a finger of foam. Retention is low as is lacing but poured into a glass washed in the dishwasher.

    Aroma of mango jumps at first. Then comes lemon. The lemon dominates the beer quickly. Pineapple and herbal notes are there as well.

    Taste is on more wheat and lemon. Pineapple and herbal are there but, like the nose, lemon is big. It lingers into the finish with pineapple creating a bitterness (possibly hop burn).

    Light body with ample carbonation to hold up the beer. Juicy if front but drying.

    This beer is fantastic when sitting outside on a 90-something day with 60+% humidity. Sitting down to review it shows that it is solid, not perfect. I expect more than lemon out of Citra and a beer using it by name. Give me more tropical mango and pineapple. Enjoy!
