  • Purchased at the brewery approximately two week ago. Date on can of 2020-06-10. The site says this is a NEIPA. That fact and the combination of the canning date scares me a bit. Let's see if that is warranted.

Pours opaque to mildly cloudy. Thickly pack, pure white foam covers. Quality retention with thick, sheeting lacing.

Aroma of mild pine and grapefruit. Hints, maybe hints, of mango. There is a herbalness there as well. Possibly the remnants of past greater aromas.

Taste is mildly sweet with pine, herbal, grass, and grapefruit accents coming on late. Surprisingly bitter.

Thinner end of medium body. Medium carbonation with the aforementioned stiff bitterness for the style.

I really feel that the age of this beer played in my impression. It is a small NEIPA to begin with, therefore the hops really have to bring it to hold up there end. The cloudiness has faded. This style of beer needs to be less than four weeks old (actually younger for my tastes) and this one misses the mark. I would not have it again unless I knew it was fresh. Enjoy!

Beer Notes
  • Brewed for all the luscious tropical fruit flavors of the hops, and a milder abv of 5.5%. Originally we canned this in a 12oz, now due to the “candemic” it is available in the always popular 16 oz. can. Go ahead enjoy the hops without all the buzz!
