Reflection

Stopped with Sue at the brewery for a beer or two. Just tapped last keg. 2025 version. Pour black and opaque: like midnight on a moonless night. No head. The little ring of foam is rich mocha. No lacing. Aroma is barrel: vanilla, oak and bourbon. There is a brown sugar sweetness. Taste doesn’t carry the barrel as well as the nose. Very late there is some barrel char that lingers but it is pleasing based on the overall profile. Brown sugar, light bourbon, oak and vanilla. Sweetness is there adding to the big body, but not cloying. Light carbonation. Pleasant surprise to see this on tap. Definitely would have it again. Enjoy!
