Poured into a normal pint glass. The medium body foam quickly filled the glass and I had to wait to continue pouring the drink. Head was white with medium retention and a fair amount of lacing.
The aroma has sweet malt/grain. There is a slight scent of mesquite but the sweetness is the strongest; although I wouldn't call it an overly strong scent.
The flavor starts off with sweet malt, followed by a transition form the malt to mesquite, and ends with the mesquite taking over. I almost thought I had a barbecue Pringle in my mouth.
Low carbonation and a light mouthfeel make this a light beer overall. Easy to drink without any overwhelming flavors. Seems more like a macro-brew with the slight twist of mesquite. Probably not a beer for the stout snobs.
An easy drinking brew that could be really refreshing and fun at a family get together on a hot summer day. Enjoy!
