Poured clear with a nice frothy, off-white, two-inch foam. Some really awesome retention with sticky, spider web like lacing. Nice pour.
Aroma is on the light side over all but nevertheless there is some nice pine, citrus, and floral hops that mingles with sweetness. Some earth scent is present in the back ground.
Taste is some sweetness up front, quickly followed by a biscuit malt flavor and the beginning of the trio of hops, the beer finishes with some lingering malt but here is where the hops come on strong: citrus, pine, and a slight hit of floral. There is an after taste of biscuit from the middle of the beer that is readily overtaken by grapefruit flavored bitterness.
Light carbonation mixed perfectly with a light, medium body that does have a slight hop oiliness on the lips but the finish does dry the palate out.
Two brothers has been up and down for me over the years and, in the past year, this beer continues the renaissance of how I see this brewery. I was between an 8 and 9: could have easily been either. I will look forward to this beer next year and each year. Enjoy!
