Poured with a lot of little floaties. A nice off-white, almost tan bubbly foam. Retention fades quickly and there is some hit or miss splotchy lacing.
Aroma of caramel, toasted, sweet malt. Alcohol is present along with bread and even a small tinge of nut. Some dark fruit comes through to boot.
Taste of sweet malt up front. Toast and biscuit malt in the middle. This is definitely a huge malt bomb that delivers the gambit of malt flavors. Alcohol gives a bit of heat on the way down and there is a bit of bitterness from hops to help balance the cornucopia of malt flavor.
A medium or better body that is complimented with a well balanced carbonation that aid the drinkability of this high alcohol malt banaza.
A really good, high end of the style. My first imperial of the style that does a good job of trying to balance the ginormous malt bill. The sweetness could be a little bit more well balanced with hops. Really interesting and worth you time. Enjoy!
