Poured into a pint glass with a big, brown, and beautiful foam. Really good retention as it became a thin layer on top of my brew, but lacing was lacking.
Aroma is roasted with chocolate and hints of dark fruit. Sweet lactose is the finish. Clean.
Taste is full of roasted malt almost from the beginning through the end into the finish. Chocolate and sweet (lactose) are also there but definitely riding shotgun.
Medium body and light carbonation that are good for the style. Very roasted after taste almost yielding a coffee flavor. A touch dry at the end.
Not any ground breaking going on with this beer. No crazy hop editions. Just a really good, roasty stout. Easy drinking. Enjoy!
