1st Taste: Slightly syrupy malt and crisper taste versus the top tier DIPAs.
Overall: My first Stoudts, so I'm very open minded. It's got a nice hop taste, mostly citrus fruits and a soft bite. Crisp and clean taste, but a little leaner than I'd expect for the style. My knock would be that's it's slightly more sugary sweet and a little more alcohol bite than I'd prefer. Misses top style marks by not completely melding the taste characteristics. But please don't mis-understand, this is a pretty good brew. And the 10% abv rocks the casbar.
