Poured opaque with a huge tan, frothy foam that had great retention.
Aroma is rich with dark fruit and fruitiness. I imagine the fruitiness is from the pomegranate juice. There is some roasted and chocolate malt aromas hiding in the background. Also seems to be some sweetness like a burnt brown sugar.
Taste is full also. Dark fruits are abundant as well as sugars: from the juice and brown sugar. Roasted and chocolate malt are a little more in the mouth with them showing up late in the taste. Seems to even be a bit of tart in there too.
At least medium body with medium carbonation.
An interesting beer that has a twist of tartness to help balance the big sweet presence. I think the sweetness is too big not allowing me to have more than one at a time. Enjoy!
