  • Aroma: Rough farmhouse smell of musty wheat/yeast and slight floral/spice. Not perfect, but to be fair within style requirements.

1st Taste: Lot's of flavors all at once. It's the stuff it should be (wheat, citrus, floral, spice), bit a tad overwhelming. Very full, and slight buttery mouthfeel and a slightly sour finish.

Overall, the aroma throws me off on this beer. I can't put my finger (or better stated, my nose) on what it is, I think it's probably an overly aromatic yeast I not familar with. The more I sipped the better I liked it. There's a mystery about the ABV level, no info on label nor brewers website, but there's a slight warming that hints of higher alcohol. To sum up, it an ambious brew from a small company that I want to like more than I did. But, that's not to say I won't have it again.

  • Poured cloudy with two fingers of medium thick white foam. The two fingers took a few minutes to gradually shrink down to a white, bubbly foam over the top of the beer. Some lacing but not of the spider web variety, more blotchy.

Aroma takes on earthy wheat and clove with first attempt. Going back for more I pick up fruit and some floral notes. As the beer warms I get more earthiness.

Starts off with wheat and citrus, transitions to the clove that was abundant in the aroma. Finishes sour which lasts on the tongue for a while. Also dries out.

The sourness isn't what I wanted or was looking for in this beer. The beer is complex and is somewhat refreshing. Not the easiest of drinking of beers. Some may like it for its difference, the same reason I liked it. Enjoy!
