Pecatonica Beer Company

This is a a very small town in the north west, rolling hills of Illinois. The drive isn’t easy but well worth it: beautiful. Brewery is located on the main drag in town with a partial canoe above the door. I had the Muskelager which was maybe average. No food. The service was fantastic but I was the only one there at 4pm on a Saturday on a gorgeous mid-August day. Had a great conversation and found out they are far enough from route 20 that people don’t venture there in the summer. More of an off-season place. I forget the bartenders name but a super nice gentlemen to talk to. Old building and left the inside to show it. The patina is fitting with the outdoor muskey fisherman vibe. Their tap handles are made by a local muskey guide that makes lures in the offseason. Probably some of the coolest I have seen. $6 with tax for a full draft pint. Not in Illinois for a while. Much appreciated. I would go again because I love the area. Enjoy!
