Pours on the opaque side with an inch of pink foam to cover. Lacing and retention are not friendly to this beer.
Raspberries very quickly hits to nose. It is gentle but dominant. Hay, straw and tartness give this beer substance and begin to beat back the fruit as it warms.
Taste is a huge hit of tart up front that lingers in the sides of the cheeks. In the middle bring on the straw, wheat and hay. The raspberries are early, disappear in the middle but linger late. The tart is there but struggles to take over with the hints of residual sweetness.
Medium mouthfeel with ample carbonation. Does dry the lips and mouth but not completely - lactose helps out again.
Heftier on the ABV than most tart/sour beers, Pickin' really is well balanced and has enough complexity to keep me interested. The use of lactose adds nice balance in keeping the tartness at bay and from running away with this beer. Easy to have again. Enjoy!

Beer Notes
Tart and citrusy with loads of raspberries, this beer is sweetened with a little lactose to accentuate the fruit. It is time to enjoy some fruit beer.
