Poured from a can with date 2-20-2020 (deuces wild) which was purchased at Iron & Glass, Romeoville.
Pours opaque with an inch of pure white, frothy foam to cover. Retention is average, with the foam frothing more as it dissipates. leaving a thick residue on top. Sticky lacing starts as the foam recedes.
Aroma is sweet, pear, orange, pineapple, and grapefruit with hints of dankness and indistinguishable tropical fruits. The dank and herbal nose detracts from the tropical, beating it back.
Taste overall light but there is pineapple, mango, herbal/grass, and strawberry. There is a surprisingly herbal, dank, bitter finish.
Light end of medium body with light end of medium carbonation. Juicy at first but subsequent sips dry the palate completely.
I have to admit that I had this after Stonefroze by Hop Butcher so this beer seemed subdued. The finish of the taste is a bit sharp for the style. Overall would like to see the aroma and flavor a bit more bold. Have to have this again but as the main course, not dessert. Enjoy!
