From a can purchased at Flight Bottle Shoppe. No can on date that is legible. Assuming it comes from the early part of July.
Pours cloudy with a beautiful white foam. Retention is average but quickly recedes back to a single ring around the edges. Lacing is sporadic.
Aroma of tropical fruit: mango, papaya, and pineapple. Not sweet. Resin and dank scents come out after the tropical erodes.
Taste follows the nose but not as intense. Mango, papaya, pineapple, and slightly dank. Finish has lingering pine/pineapple bitterness that lingers but doesn't build.
Light body, maybe more but doesn't make it to medium. Medium carbonation. Very dry.
The nose outshines the mouth. Struggling to understand how old the beer is to know of this is close to fresh or not. Comparing to local brewery, Hop Butcher, this beer has trouble keeping up. I would have it again BUT the price point pushes me to the other side. Enjoy!
