Purchased at Flight Bottle Shoppe on 2021-05-06. Poured into a stemmed Hop Butcher glass. Date on can of 2021-05-04 with "Freakin' Laser Beams".
Pours cloudy with a huge billowing white foam that covers. Long lasting foam that quickly clings to the glass; thick at times.
Aroma is initially citrus and ripe fruit with pine lagging behind. A couple of minutes in it switches over to an even blend of citrus, ripe tropical fruit, and pine; the pine almost takes over. Soon, it becomes more muddied with the ripe fruits being the only distinguishable scent.
Taste is smooth sweetness, citrus, and ripe fruits. The pine comes in the finish, quickly building and dissipating along with the bitterness Late there is a grassiness to lingering flavors as this had some hop burn early on.
Medium body, possibly bigger, as there is a creaminess. Low carbonation. Juicy. Dries late.
For the amount of alcohol in this beer it is dangerously drinkable: the alcohol is well hidden making it undetectable. The hop profile makes for a great aroma and flavor. This beer is the best NEIPA that I have had from Hop Butcher. Great job. Enjoy!
