  • Received as a gift from Sheri and Mike. Thank you!

Day 12 of 24 beers of Christmas 2021.

Pours opaque with a few fingers of tan foam that wants to hide rather than be proud of its beauty. Surprisingly no lacing.

The nose is amazing. Roast, cocoa, and coffee prance all over the sense. Hints of sweetness are quickly beaten aback by the roastiness. Cocoa more prevalent than the coffee.

Taste is initially a bit rough around the edges, almost abrasive. After the initial sip, the taste becomes more synergistic. Coffee, chocolate and roast once again lead the way.

Light end of big body. Medium carbonation. Dry. Leaves some stickiness on the lips.

The pour and aroma create great expectations for this beer. The roughness of the initial taste takes that aback some. The can is awfully cool though. I would have this again. Enjoy!
