  • Poured so dark I couldn't see anything through this beer. No foam so retention and lacing followed and I like an aggressive pour.

Aroma is good and would be outstanding with some aging. Vanilla, molasses, sweet, bourbon/alcohol. The vanilla is a real nice part of the aroma.

Taste is really good. Some sweet up front to try and balance the rest. Cherry, vanilla, even a touch of nut followed but big bourbon and a burn to your toes.

A really big body that is meshed with almost no carbonation - could you have noticed by the lack of foam?

A ton of heat in this one but it is easy to see the complexities behind it and I like bourbon beers more than just about anything else. So the bourbon is well placed while aging this beer could only bring out new experiences. Enjoy!
