  • Poured clear with a half inch of off-white foam. Retention was average at best leaving some blotchy lacing behind.

Aroma is sweet but that quickly gives way to the pine, citrus, and floral hop mix that is pleasure for the nose.

Taste is sweet malt and then the hops take over with a splash of bread/biscuit malt mingled in. Hops are bold, brash, and big. Pine, citrus, and floral put an enormous stamp of flavor on the taste buds. A bigger than normal after taste bitterness.

Medium body on the outside. Medium carbonation is well needed for the beer.

Had a ton of hops that burped up citrus and pine for a while. There is still a big malt presence and may not be appreciated by the west coast DIPA people. Variety is the spice of life and this beer delivers. Enjoy!
