Hop Hog

Pours clear with about an inch or so of off-white, tightly packed foam. Retention is okay at best while there isn't much lacing. Aroma is all malt. Sweet, toffee, and maybe a touch of bread malt. No hops really to be found (maybe some spice and wood). Taste is once again all malt. There is a finish of some spice hop that leaves just a touch of bitterness on the palate. Medium body with about the same carbonation. Definitely not one of my favorite ipas as I wouldn't classify it as an ipa. More of malt bomb. Maybe a fresh one would change my mind. But if this is as good as it gets, then not something I like. Enjoy!
