"This full-flavored, hop-jacked lager..." right on the bottle. After reading this on the label, I decided that this would be the beer of the night and out of the refrigerator it emerged with me.
Poured clear, single finger of white foam, little retention and really no lacing.
Based on the side of the bottle I expected to smell some hops, but I detected none. Instead I had scents of malt, yeast, fruit, and a wee bit of sourness.
My palate found similar flavors as my nose found aroma. Maltiness in the beginning and middle; including some fruit. Finishes with some sourness and dry. Drys out a lot.
Light carbonation and in the mouth. Clean but not crisp. I can't say that it is all that refreshing, even on a hot day, because of the dryness.
This is an okay beer. I would have it again but I am not going to go out of my way for it. Maybe I had an older bottle since there wasn't any hops in the beer in any fashion. I would like to taste it fresh and edit this review (assuming this one might not have been). Enjoy!
