Poured cleat with lots of off-white foam. Good retention but just a tiny amount of lacing.
Aroma was more of a big malt backbone than of the citrus hops that are there. I know it is a normal IPA, but I expected more as the graininess of the malt was more evident than the hops.
Taste follows. Lots of sweet malt up front, with some grainy malt in the middle, ending with slight citrus hops. No real aftertaste at all. Nice blend of flavors.
Low end of medium carbonation and light body blend to make this an easy drinker.
On a warm and/or humid day this beer could down easy. Refreshing. I guess I expected more for a Dogfish Head product; not saying it is bad, just a good representation of the style. Enjoy!
