From can with no date. Suspect less than three weeks old.
Pours cloudy. An inch of slightly off-white foam creates a wonderful topping. Nice retention. Sporadic lacing.
Aroma has the typical sweetness that comes with the style. Mango, papaya, and a splash of pine. Solid earth side to the hops as well. Mosaic typically gives me that in the nose.
Taste follows the nose but a bit on the dominant hop side. Sweetness lends a hand for backbone. Tropical fruit, pine and resins hold through, lending a touch to the body. A bit more bitter than some in the style but doesn't detract. Might take away from the ability to have multiple.
Medium to full body. Good carbonation that sticks to the back sides of the tongue.
I don't like carbonation that sticks to the tongue. The taste is better than the aroma. Outside of that, top notch beer. Enjoying burp after burp of pine and mango. I think this beer is better than Heady Topper no matter how I have rated the two. Enjoy!
