Pours opaque with an inch of white foam based on a subdued pour. Great retention. Very thick and sticky lacing.
Aroma is big on tropical fruit up front. Pine, honey, and hints of grass flow. Tropical fruits are mango and pineapple. Berry.
Taste of mild sweetness, pine and herbal. Late finish has dank, honey/caramel sweetness, and berry. Late hop burn that almost makes me think alcohol but it builds if you drink too quickly - the more I have the more I think it is alcohol. Residual bitterness.
Creamy, medium+ body with medium+ carbonation. Dry. Carbonation sits on the sides of the tongue.
The late alcohol burn and the bitterness leave it out there for me. I like this style to be buttoned up more on alcohol burn and/or bitterness. It is solid beer but Hop Butcher makes others that finish nicer on the palate. Enjoy!
