  • From a can with date of 03/30/20. Purchased at Flight Bottle Shoppe.

Pours cloudy with a huge white head. Good retention with thick lacing.

Aroma is muted. Pineapple, mango, dank, and hints of grapefruit.

Taste has a bit more going on but isn't bright. Pineapple, grapefruit, pine resin, and mango. Not sweet. Lingering bitterness that builds. Possible heat from alcohol as well.

Medium body that tries to be creamy. Medium carbonation. Juicy up front before quickly drying.

I really hate spending >$5.00 on a beer that is older than a month old, which to me, is definitely too old for NEIPA. Silly me for not checking the date. I want to have this beer again, fresh, but that price point is brutal. Enjoy!

Beer Notes
  • Let's put this seasonal perplexity to rest with double IPA. Hitting with tons of mango resin and melting rainbow sherbet, Crocus was double dry hopped with Citra, Simcoe and a tropical experimental variety from Yakima. Vienna malt, flaked oats and flaked wheat provide the chew.
