Pours clear, maybe a chill haze, but clearer than any other NEIPA I have had before (unless old - this is fresh). Inch of pure white foam covers. Good retention with thick, sheeting lacing.

Aroma of sweet orange, very big. Grapefruit, pine and berries. Berries are not distinct but like a refreshing summer berry salad mix.

Taste brings the berries to the forefront. Strong throughout the taste: start to end, lingering in the finish with a green/vegetal bitterness that, surprisingly, lingers and builds. Grapefruit, orange and pine (pine really builds over time from the middle to the end, adding to the bitter finish).

Bigger end of light body but not medium. Medium or better carbonation. Dry.

This is more of a cross between West Coast IPA and Northeast IPA. The bitterness is really defined and the beer is atypically clear for the style. I looked at the overall rating I gave this beer and I am not sure that it is that good. Seems like I being too nice. I would have this beer again but Hop Butcher makes some fantastic NEIPAs that put this beer to shame. Enjoy!
