Pours cloudy with white foam to cover. Below average retention with sporadic, but thick, lacing.
Aroma is dank and ripe to overripe berries. Hints of sweetness.
Taste is dank, ripe berries; subtlety. The middle is over taken by big alcohol burn that goes into the finish and lingers. Alcohol quickly drives the juiciness away.
Medium to big-medium body. Light carbonation. Tries to be creamy.
This beer needs to hide the ABV better or just call it a barley wine. The nose is a bit one dimensional and the flavor is dominated by alcohol and burn. A well put together beer that misses the mark. Enjoy!
