Pours the typical cloudy. An inch of white foam covers. Lacing is wispy, thin, sticky, and not lacking in population. Good retention.
Aroma of sharp citrus and pine on initial. Overripe, nondescript tropical fruits that bring out the sugars come next and take over.
Taste is very interesting. The sharp and bright citrus (orange) is the forerunner. Pine in the middle adds complexity and lingers into the finish to create a very subtle bitterness that does not linger but balances. No tropical fruits.
Medium body with a stiffer carbonation. No juice, just quickly dries.
This is a battle of the senses. The taste is really solid; much appreciated. The aroma and mouthfeel are a bit off. The overripe tropical fruits are really ripe, muddying the aroma. The sharp carbonation is a bit much. This beer definitely rounds out nicely with a couple of weeks on it. Enjoy!
