  • Purchased at Flight Bottle Shoppe on 2021-01-28. No date on can. Probably why I don't have many of their beers.

Pours NEIPA cloudy. Huge, billowing, off-white foam covers. Great retention and thick, sticky lacing. Foam becomes rocky and creamy as it fades away.

Aroma up front is mango, pineapple, pine, and dank resin. As the beer breaths these wonderful aromas meld into an overripe apple orchard. Not so much that it is apple, but the pungent smell of overripe fruit beginning to go bad. There is some background sweetness.

Taste is overpowered by candy sweetness that sticks on the tongue. The finish keeps going with some bitterness. There are nondescript fruit flavors but they are overwhelmed.

Heavy body - huge. The alcohol and sweetness are the only residuals with the sweetness not being lip smacking.

Since I don't know the date this was canned I can only make assumptions about it being either a bit older and/or possibly having some oxygen issues (the deep color based on grain bill). The head on the beer is great but it was downhill for me from there. The aroma was a bit much and the taste was thick, heavy, and too sweet. This beer was suggested to me therefore I was expecting more. I would not have this beer again. Enjoy!
