Poured from a can purchased at Flight Bottle Shoppe. Date on can of 2022-09-27.
Pours the typical opaque for the style. A vigorous pour into my Pliny the Elder glass brought about a huge amount or large bubbled foam. Sporadicly thick lacing left in the wake as the top becomes frothy, almost creamy.
Aroma is ripe berries surrounded by orange citrus. Pretty straight forward but that doesn't take away from the overall aroma.
Taste is a bit thin. The hops aren't that strong while the young beer has green hop bite in the finish that fights the back of the throat and lingers, taking away from the experience.
Light body with similar carbonation. Somewhat juicy that quickly turns to drying the mouth. No bitterness due to hops. Clean finish outside of the green hops that damage my palate early.
Another week of sitting around may help this beer mellow out from the hop burn, which would make me want it again. The hop profile is well done and the finish that is so smooth, outside of the green hop bites, is awesome. Enjoy!
"Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, 'It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than selfish and worry about my liver.'" - Jack Handy
