Poured as clear as a could tell through the dank liquid. A nice dark tan, almost brown, one inch of foam covered the beer. Retention was okay while the lacing was sheeting but not sticky.
Aroma is roasted malt with peat taking a big roll. Small amounts of coffee and chocolate are hit and miss.
Taste is where the beer shines for me. Everything from the sniffer but in greater amounts. A coffee ground flavor comes late in the after taste.
Medium bodied and a light carbonation seem to cover a slight creaminess to the beer.
A very drinkable stout with the subtle complexities of the peat making the beer very interesting. Probably the best beer I have had from Furthmore to this point (third beer). Enjoy!
