Pours clear with a head that races into position. About a third of a glass of white, meringue foam on a vigorous pour. Frothy as it recedes, which takes a while, leaving behind a thick, sticky lacing.
Aroma has some hops but that takes a back seat to the buttery, diacetyl scent that is strong on an other wise weak on the sniffer beer. The hops are floral and a touch of citrus.
Taste has some sweet hops front. Hops come in towards the finish and they are floral and some citrus. Light and crisp. Unfortunately, diacetyl rears its ugly head again.
Light body with a bit of prickly carbonation on the front of the tongue.
The diacetyl I got in the aroma and taste just did me in. I don't know if it was meant to be part of the beer but an IPA, to me, shouldn't have butter in it. Just not my style. Enjoy!
