L: Pours as an appealing orange, gold. Head is soft, small bubble foam that's off-white in color. Low length of retention with marginal lacing.
A: I had a hard time picking up much aroma. What I did was malty with some citrus, but that was it.
T: Great balance in taste. The tangerine citrus blended very well with the rye flavor and quick spice notes. It's bitterness was definitely grapefruit citrus at a perfect level. A touch dry, and finishes with light notes of grassiness and floral, but still surrounded with citrus notes.
M: Medium mouth, matched beer well.
O: A solid brew I'd have again. Not sure how fresh my can was, really would like to try fresh on tap. Not all Rye IPA's are done as well as this example and shows off the great character of Amarillo hops. Well done!
