Pours clear even though the beer is a dark amber color. Deep tan and creamy foam covers. Average retention and light lacing.
Aroma is line up front. Sweet fruit and a solid malt backbone. Good balance.
The taste brings in some grapefruit but it doesn’t bitter the finish. Sweet fruit and pine are throughout. Pleasant.
Light end of medium body and carbonation but it works well for the beer.
I love amber ales that are hoppy as it is the best of both worlds: malt and hops. Great balance from all directions on this beer. One of the better beers I have had from HB. Enjoy!
