  • Purchased a Flight Bottle Shoppe on 2020-11-05. Date on can of 11/03/20.

    Pours cloud, gold with orange highlights. A finger of white foam covers. Good retention with sticky but sporadic lacing.

    Aroma is straight up tangerine when the can opens. The vigorous pour brings out white grape and very ripe mango. As it warms the generic overripe fruit dominates the aroma. The aroma becomes too Enigma hop like for me.

    Taste follows the nose. There could be some lower end "C" malts that give sweetness without being caramel. Late hints of pine that linger, creating some bitterness that doesn't last.

    Comes across as a heavy body with a high end of middle carbonation. The mouth lessens as the sips finishes, initially bursting then drying with the reminder of the stiff carbonation.

    The beer has a bigger body than expected. I assume the haze is from the hopping schedule and not the malts/processed used on brew day. That up front thickness makes me think it will be a huge sip but it mellows, still, it misses the point. I would have this beer again but if presented with it and the cornucopia of solid offerings from HB, I would pass. Enjoy!
