  • Purchased at the brewery earlier this month while on vacation. Date on can of 2020-08-03.

Pours about as cloudy as a NEIPA can get. Pure white foam covers, receding quickly, leaving a thin foam on top and the edges of the glass.

Aroma is amazing: peach, orange, and a background of tropical fruits. Sweet. The hop aroma is in the order listed.

Taste follows the nose. Peach and orange play a wonderful tune, eventually joined by the background singers of tropical fruit and sweetness. Mildly bitter but that could be aided by the perceived alcohol.

Medium body, maybe bigger. It is thick. Mild carbonation. Juiciness gives way to some dryness in the finish. Bitterness does slowly build.

Straight and simple: this is a wonderful beer. Aroma and flavor are the all-stars. Possibly a bit too thick with building bitterness. But that is splitting hairs. I wouldn't hesitate to have this beer again, anytime. Enjoy!

Beer Notes
  • A kicked-up version of Haze, our Double IPA, Very Hazy is a beer that makes us Very Happy! Very Hazy conveys all the beautiful flavors of Haze, but with even greater depth and potency. Pungent grapefruit notes greet your palate while an underlying current of soft tropical fruit dances in the background. Just the right amount of bitterness balances the sweet fruit flavors while a velvety soft mouthfeel make you easily (and dangerously!) forget this one clocks in at 8.6% ABV. A beautiful and unapologetic mess of a beer, and one we are most pleased to share with you - enjoy!
