  • Purchased at Iron & Glass, Minooka on 2023-07-14. Date on can of 2023-06-26.

Pours cloudy but not opaque. An inch of pure white foam covers. Great retention with lathering foam covering the glass and top of the beer. A beer isn't a beer without some good head.

Aroma is mainly orange/tangerine with hints of pineapple, pine, cedar, and bright stone fruit. Great depth of aromas from the hop quad: Mosaic, Riwaka, Nectaron, and Strata.

Taste has a sweet presence, typical of the style and amount of hops used here. Non-distinct tropical fruit with grapefruit, pineapple, and possibly apricot, Deep in the finish an herbal, almost earthiness can be found.

Mouthfeel seems a bit on the thin end. Light end of carbonation which could be amped a bit to help the mouth presentation. Not juicy but not really drying either. Some perceived bitterness that does build over time; surprising. Could be a bit of hop burn that is somehow lingering.

In the aroma the hops were very distinct but that didn't transition to the mouth as it was muddier. The best part of the beer was the nose. The taste and mouthfeel just let the nose down. That said, not like it feel off a flat earth, it just carry it to that great awesomeness level. I would have this again. Enjoy!
