Purchased at Iron and Glass Minooka about a week ago. Date on can of 06/24/2026.
Pours cloudy with a lot of white head. Creamy as it recedes leaving a thick, sticky lacing in its wake. Bright gold in color.
Aroma is immense and immediate. Overripe berries jump out from a distance and continues to. Orange, sweet with a hint of grapefruit squatting down behind. Very vocal on the nose.
The taste follows the nose. Big berry presence with a nice helping of orange barely interrupted by grapefruit. Some sweetness. The berry isn’t as ripe in the taste. Not bitter but a lingering burn on the mid-edges of the tongue.
Medium body, maybe. Light carbonation but ample for the beer. Juicy up front but drying. Some spider web lacing throughout.
A couple week old Hop Butcher is always the sweet spot for their hazies. Hop Dip is the perfect beer for me tonight. The immediate wafting of the berries had me hooked. I would have this again. Enjoy!
