Hard to believe it has been 17 years since I reviewed this place. Great location, great building while feeling like you are in a pub a long way away from the burbs while metra trains continuously stop to drop off passengers.
I sat at the bar, no food, just ate at Homewood Brewing. I was able to get a few tasters to try their IPA offerings, neither inspired me. The bartender was so busy it was a bit difficult to get the full pour of Pullman Brown that I wanted. The second taster was given to me by a waitress.
They have a great business going. There food is probably better than their beer. Nothing much has changed in 17 years. If you are doing it right, keep it up. For how busy they were, I was surprised that Homewood Brewing wasn't - they had some people but not cranking it out. Location? Vibe inside?
I will always stop by Flossmoor given the chance. Maybe earlier in the day when they aren't so busy. Enjoy!
