Bor was an open pollination between Northern Brewery and Saaz and released in 1994 by United States Department of Agriculture. Although a poor producer, it has been used to breed other hop seedlings.
Bor was named for the location in the "Bone Yard" at Prosser, Washington: row 7, plant number 4 after being transferred from Parma, Idaho.
